Rennes vs Celtic live stream and TV channel: How to watch Europa League match | Football | Sport

Celtic dropped out of Champions League qualifying for the second successive season but will hope to start off on the right foot in the Europa League group stage.

The Hoops have a tricky group which includes Rennes, Lazio and CFR Cluj, who eliminated them from Champions League qualifying before losing to Slavia Prage in the play-off round.

French outfit Rennes qualified for this competition by winning the French Cup back in April, beating Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.

The Ligue 1 side – who sit second in the league after five matches, two points off of PSG – boast a strong team including several recognisable names.

M’Baye Niang and Clement Grenier are among their key players while former West Ham striker Diafra Sakho also plies his trade at Roazhon Park, as does the much-talked-about Eduardo Camavinga, who has impressed at the age of just 16.

And Celtic boss Neil Lennon is well aware of the challenge the Scottish champions face, saying: “We are not expecting to have the bulk of possession, which we normally have.

“Rennes are excellent on the ball and use the 3-5-2 system very, very well. They have had some stellar results already this season, including beating PSG, and they are sitting second in Ligue 1.

“We have given this game quite a bit of thought over the last few days and we have worked on a few things, and the players are ready.”
