Tottenham player ratings vs Red Star Belgrade: Son on song as Spurs get back on track | Football | Sport

24views

Tottenham emphatically ensured their run without a win stretched to only three games as they blew Red Star Belgrade away in north London.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min both doubled up for the hosts, who never looked like succumbing to their Serbian opponents.

Erik Lamela was also on target for Mauricio Pochettino’s men as they fired themselves up the Champions League Group B standings.

Express Sport have rated how the Tottenham players performed in their clash with Red Star, but do you agree?

Tottenham player ratings vs Red Star Belgrade

GK: Paulo Gazzaniga – 6

Steady enough at the back but still needs to build stronger relationship with back four

RB: Serge Aurier – 7

Always quick to join the attack but the end product needs to be more like his cross for fourth goal.

CB: Davinson Sanchez – 6

Strong and quick when he needed to be on a night when he could regain some confidence.

CB: Jan Vertonghen – 7

Experienced head meant that in brief spell when Red Star rallied Tottenham kept theirs.

LB: Ben Davies – 6

Steady enough game on left flank but often seems reticent to take chances going forward

CM: Tanguy Ndombele – 8

Worked well with Sissoko to bring back some of the energy Tottenham have missed this season.

CM: Moussa Sissoko – 7

Bossed the midfield to give Tottenham the reassurance there would be no mishaps tonight.

RW: Erik Lamela – 8

First time he has had a brace of assists since August 2014 then followed it with a goal.

CAM: Dele Alli – 6

Worked hard but still seems to be lacking the sparkle of a few years ago. Better, though.

LW: Son Heung-min – 9

Speed and energy made him untouchable and he was at the heart of most of Spurs best moments.

ST: Harry Kane – 8

Brilliant opportunist goal to settle the nerves and a neat second. But his passing stood out tonight.

Tottenham subs

Eric Dier (for Son 68) – 6

Juan Foyth (for Vertonghen 73) – 6

Giovani Lo Celso (for Alli 79) – 6
