How Mullen stacks up to Muschamp, McElwain

21views

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — With a break in the action for No. 7 Florida this weekend ahead of a monster showdown against Georgia, we’ve got a little time to take a look at some different things during the bye week.

Today, we fulfill a Swamp247 subscriber request. User Illini_Gator asked us to take a look at the recruiting comparisons between Will Muschamp, Jim McElwain and Dan Mullen through the first three recruiting classes.

This piece focused on the offensive side of the ball.

A few quick notes:

1) Dan Mullen’s third class is not yet complete, so his numbers will shift somewhat as Florida adds the last few pieces to its 2020 recruiting class. Florida will probably add a handful of prospects between now and signing day.

2) This list strictly looks at recruiting classes. It does not take into account early attrition in those classes or the addition of transfers, so it is meant solely as a comparison of recruiting ability and the level of talent each coach was able to attract early on to fill his roster with heading into the key years of his tenure.

Without further ado, here’s how each coach’s first three classes stack up at each offensive position.
