Chelsea ‘Want’ Kessie In Bakayoko Deal
Bakayoko Move To Become Permanent
Chelsea will demand Franck Kessie from AC Milan if the Serie A sidesign Tiemoue Bakayoko permanently this summer.
Milan are being linked with a permanent move for Bakayoko who is currently on loan at the San Siro. He made the switch to Italy for a loan fee of €5 million (around £4.5 million) along with the option of a permanent transfer for €35 million (£32 million).
Reports today claim Chelsea will demand Kessie as part of any permanent deal for Bakayoko. However, the option in the loan agreement between the two clubs is not dependent on Chelsea being able to pick a Milan player as part of the deal.
There is the suggestion by some outlets that the Blues will add that further stipulation. But if it isn’t in the agreement the two clubs signed last August then there is little chance of any such move taking place.
Kessie is in the second year of a two-year loan from Milan’s Serie A rivals Atalanta but Milan have an obligation to buy him this summer. If Chelsea are interested then Milan could buy him from Atalanta before selling him on – if they so wish. Kessie is valued at around £36million.
Bakayoko has impressed during his time in Italy and a transfer looks nailed on.
