Everton have opened talks to sign defensive midfielder Santiago Sosa, reports claim.
Sosa, 20, has only made five appearances for River Plate but his displays for the Argentina Under-20 squad and future involvement in the FIFA U-20 World Cup may have bolstered his reputation.
Argentine publication Ole claim Everton have ‘started conversations with the manager of the player’ whose contract includes an £11million release clause.
Ole add that Sosa obtaining a work permit may prove an issue but the Toffees could use a clause similar to the one used to bring Ramiro Funes Mori to Goodison Park in 2015.
Richarlison price tag
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Everton star Richarlison.
That’s according to French publication Le10 Sport, who claim PSG have already made contact with Everton representatives.
The report claims the Ligue 1 champions have asked how much the Brazilian talent would cost as they seek replacements for Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria.
Everton, who signed Richarlison for an initial £35m from Watford, are claimed to have slapped a £65million price tag on their 22-year-old attacker.
Cenk Tosun to Besiktas
Besiktas want to re-sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun.
Sam Allardyce brought Tosun, 28, to Merseyside in January 2018 for a reported £27million.
But nine goals in 43 appearances saw him fall out of favour with Marco Silva and play second-fiddle to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
According to Turkish website Sporx, Tosun attended Besiktas’ 2-1 win over Alanyaspor on Monday night and the club’s hierarchy are trying to negotiate a loan deal.
The report adds that Everton will only sanction Tosun’s departure should they secure a replacement.
