Chelsea reject Barcelona and Atletico Madrid bids for Willian | Football | Sport
Willian was the subject of transfer speculation from Barcelona last summer though remained at Stamford Bridge.
He scored just three Premier League goals through the season as the Blues finished third.
But that hasn’t stopped the two La Liga giants coming in for the Brazilian.
Sky Sports News report that Chelsea have rejected bids worth £35million from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Willian joined Chelsea in 2013 and has been a regular on the wing for the Blues.
Chelsea are under a transfer ban this summer though and have already lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.
The Blues are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Maurizio Sarri to Juventus.
And it seems they’re not willing to let Brazilian Willian go this summer.
Willian is into the final 12 months of his deal at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea could lose him for free next summer.
There has been speculation that the winger is close to signing a two-year deal to keep him in London.
But the speculation from La Liga could change that after Barcelona reignited their interest.
The Catalan giants saw three bids rejected by Chelsea last summer, with the final offer worth over £55m.
A deal couldn’t be reached in January either with Barca clearly keen on Willian.
And the forward himself said at the beginning of the year that his future is at Stamford Bridge.
“My future? It’s here at Chelsea,” he said.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t see the newspapers.”
