Arsenal boss Unai Emery makes decision on two outgoing deals for summer transfer window | Football | Sport
Emery is keen to improve his squad, though will have to do so on a limited budget.
It’s believed the Spaniard has £40million to spend, though could increase that by selling players.
Laurent Koscielny has been linked with an exit while Lucas Torreira has hinted he desires to return to Italy.
But the Evening Standard claim that Arsenal are open to selling both Ozil and Mustafi.
The Gunners will only consider letting the players go should they receive the right offer.
Though the report adds that neither Ozil or Mustafi have attracted concrete interest to date.
Arsenal have also been linked with a number of incomings, including defender William Salibo and Lorient star Alexis Claude-Maurice.
But with that duo needing large fees to prise them away from their current clubs, Emery may be left wondering what to do.
Arsenal legend Kevin Campbell thinks the Gunners should get Ozil off the books this summer.
And Campbell believes that Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser could be the perfect replacement for the German.
“We have a front two there that have proved to be the difference makers and I think we should be looking to supplying them because they can take the game away from any team,” Campbell said.
“Ryan Fraser has proved himself at Bournemouth.
“People might say it’s only Bournemouth but a lot of these players are productive, he’s got double figures in assists and he’s scored goals.”
Arsenal will not be playing Champions League football next season having finished fifth in the Premier League.
They were beaten in the Europa League final by Arsenal and Pat Nevin believes that could delay Arsenal’s progress.
He said: “Think of the extra kudos of being able to bring in other players who won’t come in for a Europa League season.”
