The Portugal captain, who was on the scoresheet in his side’s 4-2 over Serbia on the weekend, added four goals to his tally on Tuesday.
He has now scored 93 international goals overall, with 25 of them coming during qualifiers for Uefa European Championships – more than any other player in history.
With his Man of the Match performance on Tuesday, Ronaldo overtook Robbie Kean, who held the record with 23 goals in Euro qualifiers for Ireland.
The four goals also took Ronaldo’s tally with Portugal to eight in 2019, with two more international breaks coming in October and November.
Lithuania, meanwhile, became the 40th different nation Ronaldo has scored against.
The victory saw Portugal cement second place in Group B of the Euro 2022 qualifiers, with eight points from four games.
However, they still sit five points behind leaders Ukraine, who have one game in hand.
