Steven Bergwijn ‘interested in Manchester United transfer on one condition’ and more rumours

29views

PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn is interested in a possible move to Manchester United next summer, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Dutch international has been linked with United after his 14 goals from the wing in the Eredivisie last season.

He has since signed a new contract at PSV until 2023, but The Mirror say sources close to Bergwijn suggest he is open to a move away.

However, Bergwijn would only join a club playing Champions League football, meaning United would have to finish in the Premier League top four or win the Europa League to stand a chance of signing the winger.

The report adds United have been scouting Bergwijn for some time, and he is valued at around £40m by PSV.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez turned down a potential summer move to United, reports say.

The Daily Mail suggest Vazquez had the option to join both United and Arsenal but rejected the offers in order to fight for his place in the Spanish capital.

Vazquez has since made nine appearances this season, but only five have been starts.

Finally, while United have no interest in signing Mario Mandzukic, reports in Italy are still linking him with a January move.

According to La Stampa, via Sport Witness, United have opened talks over signing the 33-year-old Juventus forward and that the Croatian has already ‘packed his bags’ for a move.
