Transfer News LIVE: Sancho to Liverpool twist, Man Utd buy-back, Chelsea raid, Arsenal bid | Football | Sport
Dortmund eye three strikes
Bild claim that Borussia Dortmund want to sign a striker in January.
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is high on their list but they are also exploring the possibility of signing Mario Mandzukic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede is currently a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy upon the expiry of his contract.
Giroud is set to push towards the exit door in January due to a lack of playing time.
Jadon Sancho to Liverpool twist
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have now firmly joined the race for Jadon Sancho.
The report also claims the England international has told Borussia Dortmund he is ready to move on.
It comes after a turbulent patch which saw him dropped by Lucien Favre against Borussia Monchengladbach, before being subbed in the first half against Bayern Munich.
Manchester United, PSG and Barcelona are also said to be interested as his time in Germany nears its end.
Man Utd buy-back
Manchester United have the first option on Memphis Depay, Lyon chief Juninho has confirmed.
“Manchester United has the priority if several clubs line up to buy him,” Juninho said.
“But we have not received any offers so far. He is really happy right now in Lyon.
“Rudi (Garcia) will soon make his decision. He is a technical leader. We will discuss an extension of contract by the end of the year.”
Memphis left Old Trafford in 2017 and Jose Mourinho was keen to ensure some kind of clause was included to ensure he could return to the club one day.
Barcelona have reignited their interest in Chelsea star Willian, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The La Liga giants will begin talks with the Brazilian in January over a free transfer next summer.
Willian is out of contract then and it remains unclear whether Frank Lampard will offer him the chance to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have rejected several offers for the winger from Barcelona in the past, one of which included £55m plus Malcom.
Arsenal target Mangala
No, not that one. Eliaquim Mangala is currently at Valencia and hasn’t played a game this season.
Arsenal are looking at Stuttgart sensation Orel Mangala.
That’s according to HLN, who claim the Gunners are weighing up an offer for the talented 21-year-old.
They’re not the only clubs interested though with Lyon, Marseille, Lille and Roma also weighing up a move for the Belgium Under-21 starlet.
He is valued at around £26m.
